The instructions I have are all in German! Is there a PDF of an english version floating around?

Usually all the manuals are in 3 languages. English being the middle of the 3 instruction columns on each set of pages and the pics are on the far left..... I checked online and I do not see the manual on line.... maybe Roger has a PDF handy

Cool, I think part of it is just force of habit, I think many of us are used to english being the first or only language in many manuals and such of products we get so just quickly overlook it
