Osmolator malfunction

I am having an issue with the assimilator not turing on to pump water. When I plug it in, the pump runs for about 10-15 seconds and then shuts off. As water evaporates, the pump does not turn on, even though the light indicates that the water level is low. After time, the red light turns on indicating a low level in the reservoir; however, the reservoir is full. I just purchased this in November from BRS.

So, during this time the yellow pump on light is on, but the pump does not run? This sounds like a bad pump and we can simply send a replacement, I would need a copy of the receipt.
