Osmolator oops

My pump didn't seem to be working, although the main box had the lights on (red light blinking). I checked the top off container and it had water in it. I tried to figure out what the problem was and discovered that some water must have splashed onto the connection between the pump and control box from my tank cleaning a couple of days ago. The connector was corroded. I tried connecting the wires without the connector and reconnecting the power to the box. The pump on light came on but the pump didn't. I figure the problem now is one of two things, either the short did something to the control box, or it did something to the pump. Which would be most likely?

Either is possible. If you want to send them in I can check them out. If you have a volt meter you could check if their is power coming from the control unit to the pump and that would give you the answer.
