osmolator problems

today for the first time my osmolator has stopped working. shows a green light and all but the water level is very low like three inches below the sensor. have it in service for only 6 months and can nnot figure out what went wrong.

second problem is i can not find the backflow valves anywhere for the kalc dispenser for the osmolator. first one went bad and now i have tried 2 others with no luck that my local store recommended.

please help me

i have also cleaned the sensor already.

Is your pump working? Check to see if the pump's wires are still connected to the clamps from the control unit.

just hooked he pump to another osmolator that i have on my frag tank and it shot water a foot in the air. it was quiet funny actually. so i know its not the pump

It sounds like the optic sensor may have failed. When you say you cleaned it, did you soak it in vinegar for a few hours? It should be shiny and free of scratches, any haze of calcium or from a scouring pad could cause the same problem.

We are using a new check valve now, I am out of them but I can send you one when more arrive. For the time being, the standard TetraTec or just a plain Petsmart brand check valve should do the job if you can't wait.
