I bought a Tunze Osmolator about 6 months ago and the pump doesn't seem to want to tun on I wondered what I should do?

Thanks

Great product by the way

There are a few possible causes. Does it not turn on at all or does it turn on and slow to a stop within a few seconds?

OK, either the pump is dead or the connector got wet, check if the connector has any corrosion. If you have a voltmeter check for power, it should be 9-12V DC.

OK, can we try one other test to be sure? Disconnect the pump from the connector, touch one wire to the inside of the transformer output tip and one to the outside, basically we are bypassing the controller. If the pump doesn't run we can be sure it is the pump.

So--disconnect the pump. Take one of the leads and touch the inside of the connector and place the other lead on the outside of the clear connector?
Thanks

No, the tip of the transformer, the round cylinder which plugs into the 5017 and has a 2.5mm hole in the center. Touch one lead from the pump inside the hole and one to the outside of the tip. Basically connect the pump directly to the 9V output of the transformer.
