Hi
I got in last night and the water level in tank was 1/2" down below the electronic eye, I checked the water in the top off container and it was ok, unplugged and plugged in again and it started working but only for about 30 secs which was still noware near enough, wiped the electronic eye but still wont 'kick in' when water is lower than eye. The unit is 10 month old, is there something wrong with it. I cant take it back to LFS as they had a fire a couple of weeks ago and will not be back in business for a few months.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

This means that the pump is drawing too much power and the PTC on the board is cutting it off as a safety. This can happen if the connector is corroded, if the wires are corroded or if the pump is going bad. It is also possible that the PTC is faulty.

Thanks for the reply Roger, I took the sensor off the support and took a good look at it, there was a tiny bit of coralline on it, Doh! washed it off with vinegar and it works like new :)
