Osmolator

I currently have an older Tunze osmolator but bought a replacement pump about 2 or 3years ago. How do I know if I have the new or old style pump?
Are you able to visually see the added oring on the new pump?

There is no visible difference to the pumps, these orings are internal and seal the motor from water exposure. If you run the pump on 9V and all connections are clean (older power supplies were switchable from 9-12V or fixed at 9V) a new pump will run an old controller. It is also possible to upgrade an old controller if we change a circuit board component and you purchase the new power supply (at 12V a new pump needs more power that the old power supply can provide).
