I have been running the osmolator for a while now.I had it with the tunze cal disspencer.I was going on vacation and decide to buy a kalk reactor.I had it hooked up to my tunze.Everything was set up and tested it worked fine. While I was on vacation the unit must have gone nuts.My ph was at 9.5 and the tank went whte with kalk yet I found the tunze shut off because the water level was low.I lost all my corals and fish.I don't understand why this happened since the evaporation level isn't that much in one shot.Tunze only works when water evaporates what would cause this unit to overdose. My reactor is tall so there is plenty of space at the top for just the kalk water to enter and not crazy dose the tank.Could it be that I left the reactor on 24/7 but I had tested the unit for 2 days.Maybe I needed more time.It doesn't make sense since the tunze doesn't dose that muchI have it running now and testing so far everything is fine.

Do you mean the water level was low in the water resevoir or the sump? Is it possible that you set things up such that a siphon was formed between the resevoir, through the kalk reactor, and to the sump? If so, it would have slowly drained the whole resevoir even when the pump was off.

As crumbletop said, I suspect a siphon was the issue. You will notice that the manual always shows pumping up to the tank. If you pump to the sump and the sump is below the reservoir, even after the pump shuts off a siphon will continue to drain the reservoir and dose all the solution.
