osmulator unit help

I've been running an osmulator as a water top off for about 8 months. In the last 2 months, the pump has been quite loud - a squeeky shrill sound. Now the pump will not turn on at all. The indicator lights on the controller still work however - too low, too high etc. What should I do?

im having the same issue. pump was loud then stopped working. i noticed if i miss with the bottom of it will humm but not spin. im guessing i needa new pump but if theres a fix or a way to open the pump up?

The pumps are a sealed unit, they generally last 2-3 years and then they need to be replaced. It sounds like something got in the pump and damaged it, over the years I have seen everything from a long strand of hair wind up on the impeller to a small chunk of gravel. In general if it is less than 2 years old and wasn't abused (used in kalkwasser or modified or the stripped end of the cable was in water and wicked it in) it would be replaced under warranty, in Canada you would want to contact Xenia or your dealer. The only way to open the pump is cut it open which destroys it.
