I have two Russian Tortoises that need a good home. They are free, but would like some frags of any kind but mostly just need to find a good home for them. They come with a 20 gal glass tank and lid. My son has out grown them and I just dont have the place and time for them. Live in the lakewood area.

those live a long time and grow pretty big no? If JenDub falls through, would like them as well for some frags off course.

If anyone can't have them, I to would like them. I now have three tortoises and are raising a couple of babies now.
Thanks,
DC

I'll take them =) Jen has been wanting them for ages!!!

Well Gee, now you and Jen won't be so bored in socal any more. Hope you will take care of these great animals!!!

Give them DRC69. He has experience and Jen will get bored when she sees they require worK,time and attention.

DC- they are yours =) I'd rather they go to a home with experience. After reading up on them last night they do require a bit of specialized care. Nothing we couldn't handle but I'd prefer they go to the experienced home =)

Are you guys sure, I don't want to step on anyones toes??
badjuju please PM me on address for pickup this week.
Thanks everyone. They will be well taken care of.
Thanks Again,
Darrell

You did the right thing. These great creatures do require quite a bit of work and money to keep them helthy and alive. Congrats to you.!

ohh well, i guess i'll still have my tank to look at.

DRC69, Have fun with them, one of the true lifetime pets.

russians dont really get that big, compared to some of the other ones sold around that get about the size of a 55 gallon trash lid...id say probably about the size of 3/4 of a basketball or so...

For those who might be interested in starting out with a nice little tortoise, the fish store in L.A. Medusa on Pico has a nice selection of all kinds of this type of livestock.
