OT all you pond people

i have a friend who got some little turtles and he was asking me what he should do with them in the winter untill they get bigger i had no idea. just wondering if you guys that had ponds could give me some info

how little are they?

an appropriately sized tank with a dry area, decent filtration (they are very very high bioload), and a UV light (necessary since they aren't in the sun), and a heater should hold them fine through the winter

Ive kept turtles for 15 years

he has one that is little bigger than a half doller and the other one is pretty big about 4 inches

oh, those are tiny, something like a 40br should be fine

or even cheaper a rubbermaid stock tank, way bigger and probably cheaper

thanks since that photo, we added the UV and heat lamps and removed the plant

we had to install a piece of plexi to separate the wto tanks because my old male got too aggressive with the girls
