In my understanding of SCCA ( and the GCR rules ) chassis stiffening IS allowed, but NOT tying the roll cage into the suspension towers in all clubs ( some have different exceptions ).
In fact, I see pics of MAJOR chassis stiffening going on in lots of SCCA 914s, ( including rollcage tie-ins ) just not vintage.
What club were you racing? I recall you were referenced in the "Brad Mayeur Long Kit" installation thread somewhere.
I also hear that there is a Porsche graveyard somewhere near me in the Longmont/Loveland are, but I have not been able to find it.
