OT: Anyone here into herps too?

Hey all,

On top of my interest in reef tanks, I have always been a herp fan. having studied many herps over the years, and have bred them as well, I am just getting back into snakes. I haven't owned a snake in 13 years, so I am jumping in head first into the deep end I just purchased a trio of Carpet python yearlings being shipped rather soon.

I am looking for anything similar to RC but for snakes and herps. I found redtailboa.net a few years back, but wasnt sure if that was the best one...

Any here into herps?

I've always been fascinated by them, but never got into them. Sorry I can't help...but if you ever breed emerald tree boas, tell me. They are my favorite snake, just can't hold them and play with them like a lot of snakes. The emerald pythons are really nice also, but I always like the ones you can't mess with.

yeah, I saw that and thought I would go but now I kind of dont have an eed unless i need some heat tape or whatever. I'm still debating what to do for caging for now...I have three coming tomorrow, and am debating having three displays or what.... sigh...choices...

Nice, one day ill have the room for that installation, but something like that i would want in the living room, but the reef and the furniture take up enough room..

Okay, so he's kinda cute in a strange kinda way. I can see why the name "Mr. Smiley." They are fascinating creatures for sure! Nice setup there Carole.

aww, he's a cutie. I have a leopard gecko as well, Guilford. such a sweet heart, and a monster at that!

Thanks Marcye and loosbrew, that's a great close-up! Yours is a cutie too. I found out some take to being a pet and seem to enjoy it..and others do not . I had a female and she was really unhappy, so the guy who breeds them took her back.
