heya!

i've got kind of an off topic request here... i'm one of yer northern neighbors up in fresno and i've got a phone situation...

one of my clients calling from the 760 zip code is having trouble calling in.

everyone else, across the nation, is just fine...

i was wondering if anyone in the 760 might be willing to drop me a PM that i could give you my number so you could call and see if it goes through?

my goal is to be able to tell our carrier if it's an isolated event or if the whole 760 has this issue...

thanks!!! :)

I will be in Mammoth Lakes on Friday if you still need this done, but I assume you will have gotten it done by then.

Drewcipher: thank you for the offer, but you are correct, i've already been assisted! :D

one test is complete (and it worked fine) and i've got one more that's in the process.

thank you very much!

gonna be fun to 'point fingers' on this one... heh

hello there!

another bump... w/ a slightly different request...

anyone in the area using "Excel Communications" as a long distance provider that would be willing to make a test phone call for me? preferably in the 760, but not limited to that as this request might be harder to fullfill, heh!

thanks! :)

typically these types of problems are with the originating carrier and your client would have to open up a trouble ticket with their carrier. Your carrier has no say in how the call will be routed, they only receive what they are given...

heya!

the tests that i've done so far 100% support that! :D

i'm down to either the client's particular line on their LD carrier is blocking it, or the the more scary scenario: the carier is blocking all of their customers from us.

inadvertently i might add. i have no reason to believe this issue is intentional. just an issue needing resolving! :)

probably not intentional as you say... typically the carriers swich doesnt have the area code programmed in th erouting table so the call will fail, and easy thing for them to fix...

ah - that's good news! hopefully i won't get that much more of a run around then, heh! thx!
