OT: anyone interested in a bike? 2000 zx6r

I'm tossing around the idea of selling my bike. I haven't been riding it much so I'll see how much interest I have in it. Its a 2000 zx6r clean title in hand and has 13,500 miles. Tons of aftermarket mods

ohlins steering damper
stage 1 dynojet jet kit
k & N air filter
rear tire hugger
hotbodies undertail
fender eleminater
flush LED front turn signals
tank bra


and more I just can't think of off the top of my head right now. I babied this bike so there was no stunting on it. It has some show of wear, couple scratches on the front fender, but overall I would give it a 8/10 looks and 10/10 performance. I also have a custom tractor supply trailer for the bike. Has a ramp for loading and unloading and 6 eye bolts for tying the bike down. I would like to see 3500 for the bike and 3800 for bike and trailer. I also have a spair tire for the trailer, I'm a better safe than sorry kinda guy! Jeep looks good! Have you had any problems with the window motors going bad? I have a 04' and I've had to replace all the window motors! Sucked, they were $300.00 per window!!!! Ouch! I want roll ups

hey cstires, Yea I've had a ton of problems with my windows. It's actually not the motors at all. The problem is a little white spool within the window regulator. I've had 3 out of 4 windows go bad so far. I did the labor myself though, so each one cost me 95 bucks. I just ordered the regulators online.


as for system in my jeep.....yea I have somewhat of a nice setup in there, gets me in a bit of trouble though. I have a indash pioneer dvd player with 6.5inch screen (considering selling) kicker 6x9's in driver passenger door, kicker dome tweeters in dash, kicker 5 1/4 in rear doors and a kicker L7 solo baric. I would actually like to get rid of the speaker and amp though if anyone is interested, and possibly the in dash dvd player. I have the ipod brain that attaches to the head unit that allows me to control my ipod through the head unit.

haven't really thought of a price yet...I would have to check what they are going for new now. It's about a year and half old..I paid 1400 for it. I gotta tell you though, I was getting pulled for it ALOT, so I just keep it closed now. I guess in the state of florida if it has the capability to play dvd's, its illegal to have it open while moving....even if your just listening to the radio. I got in a huge argument with a cop over this, asking if his laptop in the passenger seat played dvd's.


Team green all the way, everybody else just jumps on the suzuki wagon! just messin with ya, it's just I see so many punks on brand new gsxrs that can barely keepem from falling over. Seems when they take the plunge to buy a bike for the first time it's always a suzuki

I wish I would have known that it wasn't the motors!!! All I kept hearing were load bangs, and then a window wouldn't roll up or down. I went to the dealer and just got the whole assembly.

Lesson learned!!!

yea, I always try to fix it myself if I have the right tools....the bangs you heard were b/c the spool stripped and the cable had no tension to roll up and down the window. It took an hour the first time and about 30 minutes the other 2 times. If it happens again give me a shout and I'll link you up with the place I bought my regulators, 95 shipped and hour of labor > 400$

ron I have a 06 zx6r and when you get another bike you should consider a kaw. I can beat a 750 gixxer with my little 636 and I am completely stock. no exhaust or anything. I still have a rear fender with reflecter.

robthorn, stay green! I have a buddy I ride with that owns an 05 750 and I can get him by about a length up to 80-90mph, then he shoots by me. A while back I was considering a 636 but insurance for those extra 36cc's was almost 300$ more! Those 36cc's put the bike in an entirely new bracket. Kawi totally did away with the 636 on the 07's and only make 599's for their 600 bike now. If we start talking about bikes there is no way I'm gonna end up selling it..haha.

man I never see more than one person riding here in tampa. When I was in the army there were TONS of peepz ridin to houston, new orleans, shrevport..etc every sat/sun. I just figured it wasn't a big scene here, so thats why I have gotten bored with it

dude it is huge. I mean HUGE here. normally a night deal. on sunday once in a while we ride to brooksville. alot of back roads with turns. if you are selling because of that it's the wrong reason and you will kick yourself in the teeth. we try to get away from the get killed fast city traffic. we have about 5-10 people that ride in our group alot. out on the bridges you will find hundreds of riders. sitting around with high school kids isn't my thing so I try not to do that. nothing against them but I don't want to get arrested for the whole racing thing.

there will be hundreds of bikes out tonight. not sure if I am going or not but people will be out. there is always some people at sonic standing around drinking a soda so they don't get kicked off the property. you could probably hook up with some people there. then there will be a bunch hanging out in ybor. right on 7th you see this empty lot with a bunch of bikes parked and the riders standing around. it's right in the middle of 7th. 40-75 bikes sitting there at any given time. most of the guys I have met there are pretty decent. corona mike is out every single saturday without fail. can't miss him. corona bike and jacket. it's a gixxer.

man this is F'd up, I swear I somehow made this happen by this thread:: today my freakin jeep window regulator broke, believe it or not. Talk about jinx, F!!!! 100 bucks down the drain!
