Ot anyone know the details for a carry permit

Check out the Nashville Dojo, too. They were located in the Donelson/Hermitage area. Super nice people (where I took Isshinryu, et al). They do classes and was told they sell on the cheaper side. I never took the class, but I was one of the few...
 
we didn't need no stinkin permit in mississippi, we just keep them hangin in the rack of the pick-up, drinkin shine and shootin road sign's or any thing that moved. BBq some road kill, good time's bro, hey I'll bring multiple handgun's and shine to Angela's, can somebody pic-up road-kill? and who made that comment about genes and Mississippi?

I like the sound of discounted ammo... it gives me even more reason to pull the trigger on the S&W 9mm I've been eying for a while. :D

Sweet! Glad to see some more gun folks from this forum! I know two of you are already signed up on www.tngunowners.com, now we just need the rest of you, especially you, Wayne! It'll be another addiction for sure. Just wait until you get into reloading! You'll save a ton with that .45!

(OK, I promised myself I wouldn't make any jokes about shooting fishin a barrel!)

If you all get a shoot organized in Murfresboro, I'll bring lots of wheelguns! And then we can all play redneck golf! (It's fun, trust me!)

Oh, and for the carry permit, I recommend Todd and Dustin at http://www.criticalincidentstrategies.com/ These guys are Smyrna PD officers, and excellent all-round dudes. They don't give you any of that Capt. Commando crap, and they don't talk over your heads. There is little to no ego in effect here. They also go above and beyond the minimum range test and will actually put you through some drills and function checks, etc. That's the important stuff anyways.

Classes are just $80, I believe.

Shoot that is what I forgot I was suppose to get the dye for the 45 and 38 for the reloader. I will be waiting a little while tell I can set it up but I see a house with fewer kids in the house in the future so I will have time then but it will be a few years 5 not that I am counting :)
 
I am hoping to reload one day, but just like a larger tank, it will be after I get a house. :(

My father-in-law is a gun smith and has been doing it for many, many years... I'm hoping to find an evening to spend reloading with him soon. :)

Just watch out... once you get hooked, it's over. I had my reloading "bench" clamped to the kitchen pass through of my first apartment!

Soon you'll be going shooting just so you can have empty brass to reload!

Tip: Everybody, SAVE YOUR BRASS when you go shooting! It's gettting expensive so you can always sell it if you want. It also makes great trading fodderwith other reloaders. That, and if you don't want it, I do! I always take abucket to the range with me and scoop up the stuff around me. Many folks see what I'm doing and ask; once I explain to them that I reload, most of them offer to give me their brass! It helps that I readily share my guns with anyone who wants to shoot, too.

Good tip....but when do you stop? :D
I used to reload for my 7-30 Waters......(30-30 brass necked down).
I started picking up brass everytime I shot.....and now I have more than I could ever reload.

I need to start doing that again.....but my powder is old.....and I probably need new dies.
 
You never stop, you just give it to me! :D

Your powder is probably still good as long as it was stored well. Are your dies all rusted to snot, or just old?

They're in my garage....so I'd imagine they rusted quite a bit. It's not heated very well (or air conditioned). Honestly, I haven't looked at them in 6-8 years.
 
Oooo Good point.. But we do keep our house pretty darn tight with locks even when I am home (never know) and a security system so it would be hard to get in I would hope. Also we are a small neighborhood and we all look out for each other, my neigbor called my cell over xmas to make sure I was expecting someone when they saw Bill stop in for a check on the tank. Guess now I need to go get that metal gun safe ASAP we have at his step mothers since I can't delete since its been over an hour! Our house new house has room for ithe big ugly thing now and I will send Cory after it! Or just another Mastiff as a house pet!! ......Thanks for looking out for a ding bat ;)!

I sent a request to have most or all of my ramblings removed. Thanks again, I never thought about dirtballs looking for things to steel but thats just part of life ;(.
