I think you will have a bunch of fun with your purchases!
There are many recommendations for games that will make you salivate for more. You've already heard about some I'm sure: Rockband, Guitar Hero, and Call of Duty 4. For the Ps3, I have to say, Heavenly Sword to me just looked and played amazingly!

I imagine it would be something like this:
Me: Could I get a carton of cartons of Marlboros?
Gas station guy: you mean you want 20 packs... aka a carton?

Gas station guy: o.. gotcha
The sad thing is that I don't even know beefy.... just the legend!!!!

After playing "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" on my PS3 for a few hours yesterday, I'd suggest giving it a try when you get your PS3... it's definitely worth playing... as I have told other people already, it's probably one of the best games I have played on PS3 so far.

All I can say is wow. New TV hooked up, PS3 hooked up with HDMI. I was so stoked about getting the new toys that I forgot to buy some games to go with the PS3. Blonde moment. I am watching spiderman 3 right now that came with the console...AWESOME is the only way to explain it......
So tomorrow I think I am going out to find some games. First on the list for me anyway is GT5. See what else I find when I am out.

Hope you enjoy the wait for GT5 to come out... I've been hearing so many different release dates for that game, I don't know what to believe.
Do yourself a favor and give Uncharted on PS3 a try... you won't be disappointed... if games like Tomb Raider entertain you, anyway...

Well I got the MX/ATV Untamed...ok..nothing special...already 3/4 through that...Picked up COD4 also...am I just stupid or is there some trick to finish the damn Prologue level? I did the shooting range, cut the melon, slid the rope, did the 6 stages in less than 60 seconds and got to the finish circle with the compass showing 0 and it said I was too slow all the while I am standing there on the finish circle and he is telling me to sprint to the finish...I sprinted as fast as the guy would go to get to the circle/oval....

I agree with you once again... when I played the demo for this game a few weeks ago, it very much reminded me of God of War - from the old PS2 playing days... and that's not a bad thing!
I'll have to give Heavenly Sword a try once I am done with a few of my other games... that much is for sure.
