Is there a way to search by keyword? So far it hasn't worked for me.
Is there a way to make a "manual" recording, such as every Friday 8-9pm regardless of what the show is? Not as far as I can tell.
Does it still tell you approximately how much time is left before a recorded show is deleted? I don't think so.
Seems like a step backwards to me. But I bet they are saving a bunch of money. Maybe they switched from some leased third party software "passport"? to something that they are developing in house...
To search by keyword, in the Menu, hit 'B', then 'B' again. While using the keyboard, you'll notice it's just the 'little things' that make this so frustrating. Like, normally, how you can 'cheat' a keyboard by going up on the top line, and have it go to the bottom line, automatically? It doesn't do it on this new POS. Also you only get to use ONE word, sure there's a space in there to add another, but it does nothing. (straight from Brighthouse's website)
No, there no way to set a manual time recording. Period (that is literally straight from Brighthouse online).
All there is to tell you that a show is up for deletion is a little triangle with !, to tell you it's at risk. Then for options on keeping the show, all you can do permanently keep it, or to choose to delete it. Gone is the priority 'Keeper Longer' where you could set over shows to delete first.
Sadly, it's just not one step back, it's like they jogged in reverse. I will have to see if the cable is tied to into the HOA fees, otherwise I'm strongly considering Satellite.
This actually happened before with Bright House (sort of). Back in February or so. Bright House dropped all their HD channels for their cableCARD customers (what it takes to run TiVo). There was such a backlash, that Brighthouse added the channels back, and even some new ones.

I wonder if there is any we can do too for the software.
