OT: Caribbean Vacation Ideas

Looking for All-Inclusive vacation ideas for next summer, looking in the Caribbean area - anything from typical Cancun/Riviera Maya to the Bahamas/Saint Lucia and such.

What I'm looking for is resorts that have good snorkeling right off the beach at the resort.

Thanks!

For your future bucket list: It's not all inclusive, but Caneel Bay on St. John has great snorkeling right in front of most of their rooms. My wife and I spent a week there several years ago. I think there are four or five beaches on their property that you can just walk to. Nothing on the island is more than a quick jeep ride and a short walk away.

However, it's closed due to hurricane Irma's toll on the island and the resort. They're rebuilding through 2019.

Think we've narrowed it down to these 3 places

- St. Lucia
- Mujeres
- Jamaica (Rockhouse hotel)

Any experience/recommendations for these locations?

What about cruising? My wife and I love Barbados. We do however do cruise from time to time. The rules are, we have to go to a place we want to go to and not a big ship. We have had some fantastic adventures. When planning our cruises, we use cruises sites.

We ended up going to Jamaica and staying at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton resort - great snorkeling right off the beach saw the following:

-Stingrays
-Eels
-Starfish
-Seahorse
-Puffers
-Octopus
-Lobster

plenty of fish, urchin, coral as well.
