OT-Columbus Racing Track Day

Was out at National Trails all day today for one of the Columbus Racing Track Days.

There were only a couple there. I did get a pic of the one drag bike, but it wasn't anywhere close to clear.

Oh, I wanna go, I wanna go! I saw muscle cars driving into Columbus but I didn't know where they were going.

What do you need to do in order to go out and spectate one of these things?

Spectating was free. You just had to be 'in the know' when it was happening. I'm a member of the Columbus Racing message board, and they sponsored it. The black Trans Am in the last pic is mine.

Hey Zeppelin... Was that your black T/A parked right outside the door of the swap Saturday? If so, that was a sweet looking ride. Anything special under the hood?

Yes, it was out front Saturday. Motor is a bit built. Nice BIG cam, AFR 205 heads with spring kit, LS6 intake, Kooks longtube headers, 6-speed, Moser 12-bolt rearend with 33 spline axles and 4.30 gears. Its fun to drive.

Nice trans am. I just got an 85 camaro Z28 5-speed. It's kind of a junker but I like it that way .

Anything special under the hood?

Got it tuned at IPS Motorsports this week. Ended up with 400rwhp and 497rwhp with spray. Nice place to start.

Definitely. Maybe we should organize a CORA race day at Trails in the spring. Or maybe just go to the Columbus racing track day next year as a CORA group. It was only $35 a car to race all day. :smokin:

Man Larry I think our cars would be a good match for each other, we should run'em some time. Although I'm sure you would win, you have the drag radials and way more racing experience, but it would still be fun.
