OT dart frogs

just wondering if anyone has kept or is keeping dart frogs. iv been reading alot about them and am seriously entertaining the thought.

I did at one time...used to have a ton of amphibians...

Just got tired of buying crickets and meal worms so I ended up selling off the tropical stuff and rereleasing the local caught livestock. I love frogs and they are entertaining creatures to have.
Like everything though, research research research...

I had looked at getting some type of lizard or amphibian at one point. Dart frogs are really cool. They have a nice display of them at BPZ. I had decided to get crested geckos, because they don't require insects to live. They can eat this crested gecko diet which is similar to baby food.

That was until my wife shot that idea down because lizards "disgust me".

Tibbs, my friend Rob's wife said the same thing...even though he had a 6 foot long iquana...Just have to sneak it in when she is out of town!

I still have everything I bought from you the coral beauty had a small problem with lateral line for awhile but got that taken care of.

If I can ask Hows the baby?

He was local when I was in Ohio before I moved out here to the Waukee area... His setup is very nice and his frogs are awesome... When I was looking around I stopped by his house and he answered all of my questions...

Baby is well, thank you. Loads of fun. Have #2 on the way later this summer. I've managed to have an easier time keeping 20+ freshwater tanks now, than I did one reef setup. Doing it right required more time than I had/have.

GSM's had several BTA's in their tank when they were spawning. I think they were the only fish in there too. Not sure what I did right or if I was just lucky for awhile. Loaded them up on good frozen food and for about a year, they spawned on a regular basis.
