OT: Disney Pass ?

So I am thinking about buying the $219 passes for the family. However, I wanted to go on Monday (President's Day) which is blocked out. A friend told me that they will apply the purchase price of your tickets towards an annual pass. I was wondering if I bought a ticket on Monday and immediately walked over to the annual pass counter if they would apply a ticket purchased that day towards the cost of the pass?

Anyone have any thoughts?

That's the way we got our annual passes. You might want to check to make sure that wasn't just a promotion they were running. We got ours that way almost a year ago.

You will have no probelm doing that. I used to to it like that. Also I always got a parking on one of my kids pass that way my inlaws always had free parking when they would take my girls. also disney now offers payment plans with no interest.

Its pretty easy stuff over there. I don't deal with it but my kids get an annual pass every year. Get the parking pass too...you'll kick yourself if you don't.

You can't beat Disney when it come to stuff like this. I have no problem forking out the cash for a day pass or annual pass. There is no better show in town and the high cost of a ticket keeps the riff raff out.

using the ticket for credit towards an annual pass on the payment plan would work if you buy the park hopper ticket. I think its either $69 or $79. It's their way to prevent people from buying a cheaper one park ticket, then just getting a pass that allows them to get into both parks.

I was just at Disneyland today and had to go to City Hall for something else so I asked them about this. They said you can still use your ticket towards an annual pass, but you have to do it on the same day. Though it doesn't really matter since the first day you buy an annual pass the blackout days don't count. So you can go on Monday and just get your annual pass and have fun. Also, I agree that getting parking on one of them is a great idea, parking is $14 now.

If you want to save some time you can also get the passes at any Disney stores ie the malls. That way you don't have to wait in the long lines at Disneyland. Also when you first park you have to initally pay but save your stub because you will get reimburshed when you get the actual passes after they take you picture providing you are purchasing the parking pass as well
