Got tubes?
I am in very few of these, mainly because I decided not to dive today and just walked around taking pictures.
Just thought I would share! For those of you that weren't able to make it today *cough*Brian*cough*Rick*cough*, truly you didn't miss too much. The water was cold and they're having to rebuild all of the amenities on the other side of the quarry from where we usually go in and, as you can see in the pictures, it was MUDDY like crazy. They literally had just finished building the entry dock, pretty much for us the day before.
I talked to Fred, the owner, for a bit and they've got some good plans in the works and I think it will be really nice once they get everything squared away. Not to mention by that time the water will be warmer, so I'm planning a trip back.
These are our students doing their check out dives. I did one very short dive on Saturday and decided to call it a day after losing 2 $20 weights and having my legs cramp like crazy. I'll wait until its warmer.
Also, I took around 450 photos, so I haven't gone through and deleted the less than stellar pics yet, so forgive my fuzzy photos... I should have used the flash more.
Also, please forgive my many pics of random bass. I was just amused there were so many and they didn't care that we were there with them at all.
Here's a link: http://s201.photobucket.com/albums/aa280/NeveSSL/Diving May 09/
I will be adding more and may finally get around to purging the not-so-good ones eventually, FWIW.
My main reason for posting this, BTW, is to get a few of you other divers out there, and I know most of you will at least look at this post, to think about doing an MTRC trip this summer to Martha's Quarry.
