Dustin,

Here is something to bring back memories of November 11, 2000. It has taken some time to find these, here are the best (worst?) ones.

For those that are just browsing... I lived 2 houses south of Dtking. He was outside with a friend when another neighbor drove into my work car. I lived on a T intersection and drunk neighbor was going to fast to make the turn (brand new Cadi). Pushed the car 9 feet sideways. I'm glad it was there, if you look at the windows at the front of the house, my oldest daughter was right behind the one to the right. With speed and yaw calculations, he would have driven into her room and, well, I think we all know what would have happened. Jerk neighbor made it home and parked in the garage. Dtking came over and said who it was and where he went. As I recall, it was around 11 PM. Thanks to Dtking for being outside!

Supervisor that night did not go DUI. I think the guy wound up with about 1000 bucks in fines. He did come over the next day and clean up the mess. These were taken after the cleanup. He also replaced all the yard lighting he tore out.

He is actually a nice guy, just made a really bad, bad decision.

Holy cow, YEP I REMEMBER THAT!!! Just like it was yesterday! :-) I cant believe I saw that whole thing unfold!

I also forgot to tell you that right after the crash my buddy and I ran out to the end of the driveway, and the guy almost hit us!!! That guy was GONE!!! :-)

Yea, ha ha ha.... Jerko said his wife was scared so he took her home. I don't think I'll ever forget that night.

Wish he would have smacked the tree! That was a good car! As I recall.... I only had 29 thou miles on it. The worst part, it was done! Used for parts after that. He only did 7 thou damage to his cadi. As you know, the cadi dealership owner was 2 houses south of me and told me about the repairs. He wiped out the Ford!

wow, usually a ford wins over a caddy in destruction!!!.. haha, I hope my truck would win over a caddy! hehe, I know it would, I could drive over a caddy! :-)... okay enough of me tooting my horn! *L*

He moved to Kansas to run their sale barn up there. Take a trip and drive over it for me.

Guess not. All the neighbors asking what happened more than likely didn't help with him staying either.

Jeff, It was great to meet you again, and thanks for the great hospitality you gave me!!!! I really felt comferatable in your home!!!!! I felt like I have known you for years! I had fun talking to you today and have great hopes for our new tanks!!! Your family is nice and they seem very happy. Thanks again for having me over and plan on seeing me alot more with a bunch of questions!!!! *LOL* I see alot of oprotunity for your new "project" Your tank is looking good! I cant wait to help you with the 300!!!!

Dustin,

Glad you could make it. I also had a good visit and look forward to more in the future. Looking forward to checking out your progression. Let me know when the sump arrives and the real fun can begin.

Yes yes yes,..... the fun will begin... I am planning on making shelves for the stand and also plan on moving it into the kitchen before the end of the week!... I added the new quarter round and corner pices to the tank tonight, also added the second coat of stain to the stand!... I posted pics in my thread!.... Tomarrow will come the marine varnish and the extra supports for the hood!.. but you know I will be calling you for the "sump" project! :)

Looking forward to it. Just don't take too long. Wife is already planning a trip to Myrtle Beach and a "sleep over" in the tunnel of the shark tank. That should give kiddo's nightmares for years!
