OT: For all of you BlackBerry users, please read ASAP

Hi all!

Not sure how many of you are familiar with this application, but it ROCKS! Ultimately, this app will allow you to tether your BB (use it as a modem for high speed internet access for your laptop) for a one time fee of $25. The reason I said read this ASAP is because today it is half price. Its normally $49.95, so this is a killer deal! You can get it at Crackberry as today's "App of the Day".

Good stuff! I'm thinking about picking it up.

Just be aware if your carrier catches you they may charge you for tethering. I'm not sure if they can tell or not but I'm a little scared to try it.

BTW, I am on Crackberry way too much lately. Day before yesterday I about had a heart attack when I upgraded my storm to the leaked 5.0 and decided I didn't like it and tried to downgrade and when I wiped 5.0 back off I couldn't install any OS. I finally figured it out after a few hours. Now if someone would make an app for my aquacontroller I'd be happy.

whats with the barcode??? I have sprint.. we shall see. I am a major power user so I use a ton of data anyways.. wont use it all the time, just in emergencies.

If you have BBMessanger 5.0 you can go to add contacts and scan it.

Nope, its a BlackBerry messenger 5.0 thing. I haven't put it on my Curve yet, but I've been thinking about it. Should be getting a work phone soon, so methinks that will probably be a Tour or Storm2.

FWIW, guys, there's a 7 day free trial if you just want to give it a shot. Its $49 full price, but I don't think that's too bad considering its a one time fee.

That really sucks you can't get VPN to work. What client are you using? Or did you read it somewhere?

hmmmm... gonna look at that. using a sonicwall vpn client

naw, just says they support the use of vpn.. it allows login, and hangs when provisioning the IP.

nope, cant use different client as it is tied to hte hardware in my office...
ill see if I can diagnose it later on.. could be a setting.

Just be careful if you use this. I'd hate to see somebody getting a huge bill because of it.
