OT: For all of you BlackBerry users, please read ASAP

Yes, you need to know your plan, I do have an unlimited Data plan from Verizon, but still if I use over 5 GB a month, I would be hearing from them, even with their own tether plan. But I planned to use this software only when no wifi is to be had, so it would be infrequent use for me, but there are times when that ability is useful. the 24 dollars for that backup connection is all I was looking for and feel comfortable using it in that way.

thanks for the warning, and the link to what can happen if you do not know about your plan.

I'm with Norman... I'm planning on using it only on occasion and for $24 or even $50, I don't think its a bad price.

My mom had this same thing happen to her, except she was on the Verizon plan. She got out of it, though, because the sales person told her the cheaper plan would work for gaming, so Verizon dropped it because she was talked into the wrong plan by a Verizon employee (my little brothers play lots of online games).

You gots to know how much data you have and how much data you're using. With that much overage, that guy HAD to have been doing heavy downloading like a genius on that. My moms bill was about $1200, though.

Definitely a good caution, though.

I would say if you just use it occasionally it would be fine. I just didn't want anyone to get it and think they can use it all the time and get away with it. Actually I think the way it should be is if you have unlimited data it should cover it but they see it differently.

Very good point, Mike.

I love how they sell it as unlimited, but they start calling you if you go over 5GB. :)
