OT- For car enthusiasts

Looks nice but I really don't like the ones after about 1973. I almost bought a 63 split window that had been retrieved to a chop shop. Would have been a great project car and by now I'm sure I would have finished it.

You think that car is an eyesore?

Once they changed the body style, yeah, but the old style is so cool IMO

a nice 427 would be fun for roasting the tires...but that 60K price tag would mean it would never be driven. Give me something I can beat on when the urge hits. I have beat the crap out of the Bird and so far I have replaced a water pump that actually went out and last Winter I did the tranny and clutch, neither was out but got a nice deal on it. It has a mere 108k miles on it.

I think I'll keep it a while longer and have more fun in it.

Here was my dream car until I could not afford to buy starters for it any more. 60F or above the thing would not start. I put up with it for about 1.5 years before I had to sell it. Close to 400HP and 4WD and you still smoke the tires...It's just not fair.

I would do anything for any Corvette, it is and always has been my favorite car in the world

C3s are one of my top 2 favorite styles (C5 is my fave)

even the C4s with the body kits are pretty cool looking to me and most people think the C4's suck

yeah the 82 was the last year that was acceptable until the c5 the 84 was the worst year ever... my dad moved with the corvette plant to kentucky in 80 till he retired and every sumer i got to walk through the plant to see all the cool new stuff ... pretty amazing when your a kid
btw this is a great site to look for cars ... http://www.cars-on-line.com/.. heres more my speed http://www.cars-on-line.com/29203.html

Not this woman, My first car was a 62 chevy impala super sport. The only way my fat fanny would sit in a vet is if it was before 63.
Other wise it is 67 chevelle for me.

mmhmm my thoughts as well.

WoW! $60K for a '69 vette???? I had one like that back when I was 18-19 years old. When I had hair and money. I ran the wheels off of it for about a year and a half and then sold it for what I paid. However, that about 1/10 of THAT price!! Perhaps I should have kept it. That would convert to one heck of a tank set up now. Thanks folks, now I'm missing those days and that ol' car.

Nice VR4...how did you overcome the weak drivetrain with that much hp? Those things shattered tranny's in stock form.

Check this out....

sorry, shameless post of my car I'm selling on there...lol, free advertising! (My wife wants a vette when we sell this but I don't see that happening!)

Thats more like it. If I hadnt bought a new car a year ago that would be a possibility. It looks nice and what I would like to be driving. Whats the MPG on something like that?

Does it really run well.

Sorry guys I am not really into your topic if I had my choice I would have an old Triumph or AH. I like american muscle but the outer looks have nothing on a fine European car of the same era.

My dad was always a hot rodder and watching barret jackson with him get really tiring because ever single car is the same thing with him .. " They sold it for how much i could have bought that new for $3000.... or hell i bought one of those when i was 14 for 150 bucks and drove in the fields till it blew up" question is will any of todays cars be like that in 30 or 40 years and levon i agree .. to a point but why not mix them in something like an ac cobra pure american muscle in a hand made european car

A little side note on that pure american muscle...Carrol Shelby didn't actually invent the whole car. It started out as a Bristol GT which was an English car I believe. He basically took that car and put a better powerplant and drive train in it. Of course it is a legendary car and what he did for muscle cars will live on a long time.
