OT - Free appliances

We will be moving at the end of June and are not taking our appliances. I figured I would post here before having them picked up by a used appliance store or outright tossing them. All are approximately 10 years old, work well and are in good shape.

Currently available:

Refrigerator: Gibson (20.6 cu ft)

Electric Stove: Hotpoint (model) unknown

Washer: Hotpoint

Dryer: GE Profile

If interested, I need to know by Saturday 5/26/07. I will need them out of here during the week of 6/18.

Congrats on the sale of the house!

If you take a few minutes to list those at www.cleveland.craigslist.org there would be lots of response and if you wanted you could even list them for $25-50 each instead of free to make it worth dealing with the emails and people stopping by. There is a FREE section where things are snapped up almost immediately and there is a HOUSEHOLD section where most appliances are listed.

Thanks Kevin. I'll give it a try. Given my crunch for time, I am not sure what I will do. They would be good for someone just starting out as I am sure they have another 5+ years or so. However, its just not worth the hassle to move them.

Going through the same thing myself. I have a stove, dishwasher, microwave, and washer that I was going to list for sale cheap.

I don't need them and it would be nice to get a few bucks out of them and help someone in need instead of adding to the local landfill.

Is the washer a front loader? I'm thinking it would make a cool seahorse tank if it is! =)

I was thinking the same thing. Figured I'd help someone out if they need it. Otherwise, we have a local place that picks them up and refurbishes them or strips them for parts. They don't give any money but they pick up.

The dryer is electric.
