OT/ Gun Lovers

Nice but I still prefer my glock or the AK for home protection... LOL

Does anyone know when the spring gun show is?
 
The thing about home defense, is I believe you can't unload on someone, so your shot has to count. Something about excessive force and intent to kill, not defend. But anyway, there is nothing like some 00 buck coming from from 1 shotgun let alone 2. One squeeze and you'll be calling a hazmat team in to do the cleanup.......;)
 
Absolutely, nothing better than a shot gun blast for home defense. With even #4 shot you will put a hole through someone you can look through and thats through the drywall or floor. Not saying that spray and pray with an AK wouldn't be fun but my money is on the Shotgun.
 
I agree.... I prob never have to use anything for home defense... I live in a low crime area. There is just better control with a handgun... the AK is loaded with Chinese urban assault ammo (plastic core with a copper sleeve, so I wont kill my neighbors).
 
Hmmm....sounds like perhaps those of us interested in shooting should put together some type of outing. Maybe the local range....or better yet if anyone has a lot of land we could use.
Who'd be up for that?
 
I have the location if you guys are interested in driving an hour down here to West Salem. Just a little mound of dirt about 4 ft high with railroad ties behind it. Informal but safe is my motto. I like to load the car up with all the guns and let everyone try each one if they want. We keep it with one person shooting at a time so there is little chance for accidents.
I used to shoot in a bullseye league for a few years and have a nice Hi-Standard .22 competition pistol as well as 15-20 other assorted firearms.
 
Im down, I can bring an Ak-47 a AR-15 and a little High Point 9mm Carbine.....

An hour drive beats driving to salt fork for free range time ;)
