Well, the Harry Potter Marathon ended w/o us seeing the last movie tonight but we're going to try to fit in in before Wednesday. We're seeing the new movie on IMAX that night...the ending there is supposed to be in 3-D! Can't wait. I just reread all the books again too. It's sad that the new book coming out in July will be the last in the series. Having worked with middle school kids for 12 years...and having taught middle school English for about 6 months...I love the fact that so many young people (as well as the almost young...Stephen King is a huge fan;) spent so much time reading, exploring and reveling in the antics at Hogwarts. I applaud JK Rowling's incredibly imaginative characters, settings and plots and hope she has another outstanding series swimming around inside her head.
PS, I don't believe she is going to kill off Harry as some speculate. My own reasoning is that Harry has been a guiding force to show young people that adversity can be overcome...I just can't see her taking that away at the end. Anyone have any thoughts on this one?
 
Harry Potter is one of my all time favorite movies. So much so, my dog, wait let me use Joey's excuse, " my wife's dog" is named after Herminie in the movies. She just loved her fiery attitude, and no nonsense way she went about things.
I just hope the series does not end with Harry dying, that would ruin a complete saga for me. Not to mention what the kids would think.

We'll probably catch up on the last movie just so we know whats going on for this next one :)
 
im excited about the movie-i started reading the books but i didnt get the chance with the last one nor will i with this one b/c of school-but i think they do an amazing job w/ the movies-

marcye were is there an imax theater around here?

Wow, just checked out one of the trailers for the movie...seems to be getting some pretty good reviews. Can't wait!
 
a block? i am guessing thats a whole bunch of tickets - haha - making it so none of us can see it ;-) - i think this movie is going to be so huge i was thinking about waiting a week or two till it dies down, but i bet it will still be busy by then.
 
well its over-and i was very disappointed with it. it might have been the hype-but i definitally could have waited for it to come on video :-\
 
Awww, and it got pretty good reviews, too! Well, guess you can't trust the critics! I'm still going tonight with an open mind. I'm easily entertained;)
