from my fellow aquarists. Yesterday I just had surgery on my right achilles and today the pain is now setting in. I'm feeling like I need more than vicodin.

Best of luck in your recovery.

Recently had shoulder reconstruction surgery so that I would be healed to play baseball for next years season at UCD. OUCH

Vicodin and me dont mix well. Doctors always have problems finding painkillers that do... that limits me to LOTS of aspirin :D

Vicodine schmikoden,
SOMEONE GIVE THIS MAN MORPHINE!! :D

Good luck in bearing the pain!! Im not envious at all!

I blew my achilles to shreds in '02 and went through a 6 month recovery after the surgery where they braided it all back together. I feel your pain.

I'm not the prayin' type, but wishing you the best all the same. Find strength wherever you can, do exactly as the doctors/therapists tell you.

Sorry to hear about the foot. My wife has a bone spur that is pressing on her Achillies and she needs to have surgery. Luckily for her Exercising had relieved a lot of the pain and inflamation but now it's back.

Funny thing is she just called me and told me she made a DR. appt. next week for it then I jump on here and see this thread!

I think you need that 180g now so you can kick your feet up and relax and enjoy the view of a bigger tank hahahaha

OUCH! Hoping you have a speedy recovery too. Prop that foot up, take your pain meds and also take your vitamins.

Take care

hey Rob,

If your wife is having achilles pain, then it's not something to ignore. She's doing the right thing by exercising and making a doctor's appointment. Another recommendation would be to see a specialist (Orthopedic) also.

Even with time, these kind of injuries can heal but you're never the same. I hope she gets better too. I'll pray for her.

As for that 180...well, you met my wife. hahaha.

Tua, who'd you play soccer with?? any teams? I play soccer hardcore (meaning everyday). sorry to hear about your injury man. I've sprained my ankles and dislocated my knee a couple of times and man I hated not being able to play.
for your pain, I think that since vicodin doesn't work, try smoking some hrrrmmmm, I forgot what I was trying to say. hahahaha j/k.

Vicodin works; it's just not as effective as pot or morphine. But for what it cost, I'll stick to vicodin. As for the game, I play futbol with the guys at Caltrans. And, I've only recently recovered from having my miniscus repaired in my left knee.

She has all ready been to the Orthopedic and they suggested excercise at first but told her more then likely surgery is in the future. She...........I should say WE can't stand the thought of her being on crutches for 3-6 months!!

I agree. It's a painful thought. You and your wife sound a lot like the up and moving type and I admire that. B/c I'm the same way and if I HAVE TO SIT ON THIS FREAKIN' COUCH AND SURF THIS WEBSITE FOR MORE THAN 4 MONTHS...I'm going to lose it.

Ya, before we opened the store we were gone every weekend, camping, fishing, taking trips, etc. etc..........................damn I miss those days!!!

*sigh* I would miss it too. I love this hobby but there's nothing funner than getting out and enjoying the outdoors upclose. When I get better, I'm going to take my wife camping too.

You want your ps2 back? lol I guess we'll see you posting a whole lot more on here.

nah. I originally only bought it for 2 games...well, actually 1. So, it wouldn't do me much good for 5 minutes of actual play everday. If anything, I already miss playing futbol...and tennis...and volleyball...and the guitar...and everything else I normally do on two feet.

Yeah, I'll be posting non-stop in this forum.
