OT: In Need of a Vet

My dog has an ear infection (AGAIN) for the second time in about 4 months. The last vet I took them to was good, I thought, but a bit expensive.

If I cannot get it cleared up by using some good ear wash, and some leftover medicine, I will need another vet.

Does anyone have a good one they can recommend? I live in Ballwin, but would not mind a bit of a drive for a good vet.

Call me at 636-825-2835

webster groves animal hospital is always pretty good---prices are reasonable too. ive seen a few docs there for their different specialties (breeding, surgery, general). the doc for exotics/reptiles is pretty good too

Probably a bit far for you, but the vet I use down here in Rolla is great, and his prices are less than half of what charges are up in STL.

I've used Clark Animal Hospital in Kirkwood for many years (on Manchester just East of Kirkwood Rd.). They are not the cheapest, but they are all very good and compassionate vets.

We use Dr. Barney @ Halls Ferry Animal Hospital, but that would be a VERY long drive for you.

I know how dog ear infections can go, my in-law's labs seem to get ear infections about once a month! YUK

One thing that seems to work pretty good AFTER you get the infection cleared up are this little pre-soaked cotton balls I found in PetsMart, I don't remember the brand name but they say "medicated" and they are for ear's. Anyway if we wipe out thier ear's about once a week or so that seems to keep the infections away, until we forget to wipe out the ears :(

Everything Pets animal hospital in Creve Coeur Olive and Ross road. The most compasionate and caring Vet I've ever been to as well as very knowledgable

Kody has an appointment tomorrow at Webster Groves animal hospital. Not sure which doc he will see...

Thanks though all for the input...
