Anyone been? Any good? Wifey wants to go tomorrow, we've never been out that way. Prefer table games, not slots. Any recommendations for Hammond/Gary area.

I have been seeing a lot of ads on the new Horseshoe Casino Hammond, IN. A friend of mine told me it is really nice in there. I don't know if that helps, maybe others can chime in. I have never been there.

I been to a few a couple years back. It wasnt anything great. They just got done redoing the Horseshoe. Supposed to be real nice. From what I hear, they just built a brand new one in New Buffalo, MI and its the best one around this area. I thinks its built on land and not a boat. Probably only another 45 minutes from Hammond.

ya the new horshoe is the closest thing to a vegas casino.. It environment is alot better then the other crap casinos around chicago.

fyi. I just moved back from lving in vegas

Sounds like Horseshoe is the way to go. Thanks guys. Gotta let the wife spend money on her hobby too lol. Although her hobby expenses are cheaper and a lot less frequent than mine. Who knows, she could even make money. Not likely, but has happened before.

Blue Chip in Minchigan City is good also. Great steakhouse.

If you go to horseshoe (Binions Steakhouse) they have an excellent kobe beef flight. Three portions of Kobe for about 70-80 bucks. Rather expensive but I love that stuff.

Ended up going to Horseshoe. It's not Vegas lol. But it was fun. I'm down 120, but my wife is up 200 for an 80 "profit". Pays for the gas and buffet anyway. Wish I had gone to Binions for the Kobe flight after reading lockus's post though. MMMMMM Kobe beef.
