OT: Job for my son

I need to ask the community for some help. My 18 year old son graduated from high school this year and moved from Wickenburg to Chandler to start college in the fall. He has been down there and looking for a job and having a difficult time. He is a great guy, smart as a whip, and willing to just about anything. Does anyone on here have an inside track on an entry level job that I could direct him to in the Mesa area? He has reliable transportation and can drive, just needs a little hand and a good word from a friend.

I appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

There's a bunch of call centers near priest and elliot. There's Apple tech support, Sears tech support and a bunch of others. I'd recommend he stay away from the telemarketing companies but most of those jobs pay 12-14 per hour to start and they train you. They're usually looking for younger people and turnover is really high.

Thanks for the quick reply. That was one that he hadnt tried yet. I passed the word on to him this morning.

If anyone else has ideas, please keep them coming.

Bank of America at Chandler Blvd and the 101 (just east of the Chandler mall) is usually hiring for entry level, part time positions within their home loans division. Check online for openings. The teller position is often another one that opens regularly for newbies. :) Good luck

Have him check golf courses in the area they are always looking for good help during the summer into the fall. I always worked on the maintenance crew during my summers.

T-mobile is hiring right now I believe. Check on tmobile.com for open positions. Hourly + commission and decent benefits. If he has any sales experience he has a good shot
