I know many of us here are Nature lovers as well as reef lovers. For those of you that hike / bike, you may know of Jones park - Anyhow - came across this on another board...
As you may know, the Vestal Town Board is again moving forward to log Vestal's largest Natural Area, Jones Park. Located off Rt26 near Vestal Center, this park is enjoyed by many who like its relatively wild and unspoiled qualities. The Board has been unresponsive to individual vestal residents who have objected to this plan at a number of council meetings.
We are asking folks to sign the following petition as the next step in putting pressure on the board. A rally in the park, a press conference and other actions are being contemplated, since our elected representatives seem unwilling to represent us on this issue.
