So I got roped into Jury Duty next week starting Monday morning....

What is the quickest way to get dismissed....

I know it sounds bad, but I have to fight alot of traffic and gas isn't cheap right now...

Good luck. Just go and sit through it and you don't have to worry about being called for at least another 3 years.

You can get out pretty fast if you make racial and sexist remarks when they interview you.

The death penalty is a good one to bring up if you are questioned. That will always get you off.

If you get chosen to actually get out of the Juror room when the lawyers ask potential jurors questions speak up and be very stongly opinionated in the opposite direction that they are asking the question. It worked for me I sat in the big room one day and got called the second and I did not want to make a week of the whole process so I made sure they would NOT want me.

show prejudice in the case at hand, be very prejudice, but watch your back when you leave the court room. LOL

It is actually better to serve.
If you are on the jury, you don't have to serve again for like 5 years I think it is. They wont even call you or mail you.

Tell them that you don't think that you can be objective. Explain why you are biased towards both sides for whatever reason. Thay don't want someone who will waist time or who wont benefit either side (from the lawyers perspective). The lawyers want someone who will sympathize with their case.

Just do it I work for a law firm and can honestly say that most cases are somewhat interesting and knowing you actually helped/participated in the legal system is both an honor and right you have while living here in the US or until you commit a felony yourself and need a jury to help you.

Just do your civic duty.

Or, you could just tell them you have a saltwater tank. That will go a long way towards showing that you have impaired judgement :D
