Yeah, he is fighting Tim Sylvia. The event is sponsored by Affliction Clothing, which is why you won't see Affliction in the UFC anymore.

Should be a good fight.

this fight made sence to the people who put the show on, kimbo has reached an audience away from the MMA crowd( a Much Larger crowd). Kimbo is an urban legend that is true to life. I first searched him as my friend heard about kimbo's devastating power. Almost like a rocky in the 70'S, but not an underdog. we have been looking for a guy like this for a while. the street thug that no one can stop. It is like a freight train about to crash and you cannot take your eyes from watching it. although old and the cardio is dwindling, he has the heart to still go in that 2nd round. He did aim for that ear as he was running out of gas.................dirty fighter just like every one expects.

If Thompson (14-9-0 record)can take the fight to the distance with Kimbo...imagine other better fighters currently in that division. IMO Kimbo still has a long way to go to keep up with the higher tiered fighters. He needs more training...again JMO.

I wouldn't call that dirty fighting. A lot of fighters would have done the same. They are gassed, getting worked...I call that somewhat smart fighting.

Anyone know why Couture didn't get the chance to fight with Fedor?

UFC claims that he is currently still their Heavyweight Champion. Since that is the case, UFC claims that his contract is self renewing hence he is still owned by the UFC. Of course there are those that disagree. by the time it is sorted out in court, he will no longer be able to be competitive with Fedor.

Thanks for the update Greg...it's just unfortunate that Randy can't fight Fedor and Tim can - as you said, UFC still sees Randy as their champion.
