Who has the best low tide charts for the areas around Tampa? I want to take my kids shore exploring as I remeber finding life at low tide so much fun as a kid myself.
I don't have a chart, but you can search on the net for when the best low tides are. I would suggest going out at low tide when we have a strong NE wind. It will push the water out of the bay and expose a lot of "land" to explore! Have fun!
There's several sites that use some server-side open-source software called "X-Tide" that do the same thing.
I go to the rest stop at the south side of the skyway to collect stuff at low tides. It's REALLY interesting if you at night with a big flashlight - guitarfish, etc neat stuff.
if ya ever need the tides your welcome to call me at work i have them readily available cause its my job .. 727 547 1868 anytime 24/7 but i am usally here mid evenings (like now) but anyone here will help ya .
are ya goin anytime soon ill join ya if so LMK

dude we need to go diving next week, what are you doing on Wed?
I am going to head out next Wed morning I think to find snails... maybe hit up some Sarasota beach diving or if any of the locals are pulling out during the week catch a diveboat out.
i have no plans on wed. so nothing to do yet but i do need to get my dive computer ordered . but i do have to clean my buddies hull if its warm next week sometime.
cant borrow a boat boss told me i cant dive of them if my captain is on call and they wont let me take em out myself. id love to do the sheridan off clearwater as soon as i get my computer though.
where you going to snail around ? if no diving then collecting sounds fun too.
Yeah company is always good my man and your right, 8am is damn early but if you just stay up drinking all night you could look at it as being pretty damn late at night.
