We've been taking them to our tennis court for some fresh air and time to run free. Here are some new pics with my Nikon D80 and 50mm f/1.8 :

Love #3 and 4. Those blue eyes make that dog look psycho. This is a good thing of course.

Its a good portrayal of character, lol

For some reason that last picture scares me.

LOL

LOL if you knew her at all, you wouldn't be. She's full of energy and very loving :D

wow! they're great shots! So clear and crisp! I just got the canon version of that lens and have been playing with it.

How far away were you when you captured those images?

Great shots. I wish that 50mm 1.8 worked on the D40s :( They may have something with such great aperture, but not for the same price that the 50mm comes at.

Thank you all for your compliments.

The shots were all taken probably about 5-10 feet from the dogs. I've been pretty impressed with this lens so far, especially at the price point. I used it on my past D40, and it worked just fine but manually focusing (especially with action shots) was quite the frustration...

There's talk of a 50mm 1.4 AF-S for the D40 owners, but I'm sure it'll come at quite the price in comparison...
