OT: My Laptop And Vista

does anyone here know a lot about computers? if so please tell me what i need to make my speakers on my laptop compatible with vista. AND you dont have to make it bluntly obvious i know quite a bit about computers so i got the lingo down. if anyone knows LMK im really annoyed that i cant hear anything!

ha! i tried that! i cant get it to work at all!! it sucks really. i get XP all installed then i get blue screened until i decide to put vista back.

? i get a blue screen with a big white error message. its ANNOYING. and yes its insanity that speakers dont work. it makes me so irritated that windows forces you to upgrade computers to get the latest and greatest

are you talking about the built in speakers of your laptop?

it's probably the sound card that is being incompatible with vista

yea i know it is... i just didnt know how to make it compatible. i checked for downloads and things but i cant find any to make it vista compatible o well i guess im SOL.

I hate vista I swear... Nothing works properly - I can't wait for a good reason to get a new computer... I'm so getting a MAC.

i dont remember anymore. ill write it down next time i try to put XP back on it. which might be tonight im not sure. all i know is id be SO much happier with XP back on my computer.

plug headphones into the jack. do you get sound? If no sound is coming out then it is probably a device problem. Check the device manager and see if there is an error. I have vista on my new laptop and no issues at all. Avoid a Mac and get linux.
