OT: Need a good home for my 2 boxers

My wife and I are getting a divorce and I need to find a good home for our two boxers. They are great with kids, just need room to play or be exercised. I have both a male and female, both have been spayed/nuetered(sp), the female's name is Roxy, she's about 6 years old, and the male's name is Rocco, he is about 4 years old.

We are not selling them, we are looking to have them adopted by a caring person/family that is going to give them the love and care they need. We will also give the new owner their large water/food bowls, and any other dog supplies we may have.

We would really like to keep them together, they've been with each other for the past 4 years.

If you are interested please give me a call at 407.488.2173. I will be happy to send pics, or you are welcome to come by and take a look at them.

I will be selling my tank as well, but I need to have time to sit down and make note of everything that is included.

Thanks!
Chris

Wow... I hope you find a great home for them.

There is always the flbr.org.. always an option, but I doubt you'll need them.

If I didn't already have two large dogs (one boxer), I'd already be there to bring them home.

I wish you the best.

Thanks a lot!

I did check with the rescue, but they don't want to take my female since she's older. I really want to keep them together, but if that doesn't work out, then I will have to resort to other alternatives.

Chris

Don't split them if you can help it..

If I may ask a personal question: Why get rid of them? Divorce or not? Not an attack or anything, but I'd give up ANYTHING before giving up my dogs.. no matter what the situation. They are part of the family :(

I'm so sorry to hear that Chris :( If you want I can repost this on the Avalon Park forums maybe theres a family here who would take them in? Let me know if you'd like me to do that

I am so sorry to hear this. I have two boxers as well and know how attached you must be to them. I will also ask around and let you know if I find anyone interested.

Wow, they say 6 is too old? My wife is with Central Florida Pug Rescue and they will take ANY age. We adopted a 12 year old. Please be careful about who your babies go to. I have heard horror stories of dogs going to free homes that turn out not to be a good fit. Sorry to hear about your situation.

Well the choice to get rid of them is quite simple, I have to look out for my kids as they come first, before any pet, item, etc...

They are part of the family, however I have a lot of other very important issues to deal with at the moment. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just honest.

Definitely weird. I wonder who he spoke with. I know most of the people with FLBR, and if you go on their site, they have tons of boxers older then 6 years.

I think he spoke with the wrong person.

I've had boxers almost all my life, awesome dogs, if I didn't live in a condo I would have taken these.

Goodluck with everything,
-Mike C.
