OT: Newport Beach fresh Seafood place?

OT: Does any one know of a great Newport Beach fresh Seafood place, on the beach? Wife's BD comming up.

There is a great place called Roy's in Fashion Island.

It is not cheap, but it is not electric bill either! The food is amazing!

Crab Cooker in Balboa.............not exactly waterfront, but the absolute best shellfish in OC

The Chart House, they are up and down the state. Used to live in the Bay area, definitly worth it. Expensive, but good. They are on PCH just passed Villa Nova and Joe's Crab Suck errr Shack.

Oh almost forgot they are beach front or Bay front in this case.

"Gulfstream" in Newport near Fashion Island is good.

It has a good variety of food choices and has a nice atmosphere.

My wife enjoyed it last time I took her there.

Gulf Stream is excellent, but not water front. There's nothing to stop you from catching dinner and then hopping in the car for a short drive to the beach for an evening stroll.

Oh, I forgot to mention that it wasn't on the water, but you could always take her shopping. My wife seems to respond well to the mall.

21 Oceanfront in Newport Beach. Right in the parking lot of the NB pier. Offers valet parking, and menus printed daily. Not exactly beachfront, bbecause there's a 2 lane parking lot separating the sand from the restaurant. There's also a b&b up stairs too.

I used to wait tables there, it is nothing more than a tourist trap.

All the fish is frozen, even if they say it is fresh... on and on

Really, that sucks. I ate at the one in Scottsdale a year ago, so good!
