Hey Everyone. I thought that some of you may get a kick out of our new Meller's Chameleon...

He's (we're not sure really) only about 6 months old and is about 8" head to tail. Weighing in a whopping 26.3 grams! :P

On with the pictures...

Do you know alot about chameleons?

I kept leopard geckos in a breeding colony for a couple years back

Nice specimen.......wild caught?

He is not wild caught, captive hatched rather. Born and raised in southern florida from a WC mom. One of the last in the country to hatch last year, from what Ive been told.

I do know a good deal about chameleons, having bred Veileds ten or so years ago...having said that, I opted for a more demanding species this time around. They're one of the top 3 largest chameleons as well, shadowed only by Parson's and sometimes Oustelet's. So far he's been very cool...

:P

I'll have to take some updated ones! It's going through a bit of a diatoms phase but everything seems to be growing strong!

I was looking into a dwarf specimen before I got into reefing and now I dont have the money to keep both.....

Good luck.....do you have an indoor/outdoor enclosure or just inside?
