OT: Paludarium?

Hello Gmate

I used to have dart frogs and keeping the tank was relatively easy.....a lot easier than an aquarium. It's the fruit fly cultures that get tedious....not difficult, just tedious. But...they are a very cool critter to have and the paludariums are certainly an interest item in any room.

Have you found "Blackjungle" in Greenfield, Mass. yet ? If you haven't been there you definitely have to find your way up there. They have a huge supply of darts and anything and everything that has to do with keeping them...including a greenhouse with plenty of plants for vivariums. I didn't read all the posts in this thread so it's possible you mentioned them already.

Have fun with your tank and picking out your frogs ! It's looking good ! :-)

Oh...one thing to mention.....if you decide on dart frogs...they can't swim. You'll want to be sure they can get out of the water if they happen to fall in. ;-)

It's done. Six hours of work today to finish it. The only addition left is to add more plants suitable for the environment. And critters. Just a few cichlids chilling in there for now, chinese water dragon and anoles to come.

The waterfall is really something to see. This tank beats the pants off most other paludariums I've seen online.

Again, I have way more pictures and things to talk about with this build. What I'd do again, what I wouldn't do, etc. I won't have internet at my house until Monday. Posts to come.
