These catapillers are unseasonably late, they usually come in June... another product of global warming.

Ah one of those new fangled roach broaches, very fashionable... til they poop on your cloths.

Nice pics, I am hoping santa brings me a new digital camera for xmas. My 6 meg Finepix is acting up after only two years of use. Should have bought a Canon!

I shot 8000+ pics with my Kodak... Bought the wife a Kodak LS443 little over 2 years ago, got Royally screwed by Kodak. Seems that after this pre-determined amount of time, like, 2 years, hundreds of them stopped working - they shoot black blank pictures. THE WORST THING WAS THAT I LEARNED THEY KNEW THAT THIS WAS HAPPENING, AND HOW TO FIX IT. Kodak would not help me.

Very special thanks to TJ - Debaser, for answering the MANY questions I had. in 5 years I shot 8000 pics with the Kodak, but in 5 months, I have shot 5800 pictures with this DSLR. only a small handfull have not turned out, and those were user learning error.

Scott, those are Mayan Wedding Beetles. The man would gift the woman with a decorated beetle, which she would wear on her dress at the wedding, and for about 12-14 months after. they are slow moving, and eat only wood.

Now, Mayan's have lost this custom almost completly and are leaving the few remaining villages and returning to learn Spanish and other customs of the new world, like giving jewelry.

That is a decent pic, especially on a moving / bouncing bus - holding the camera (heavy) with one hand, and the wood and the beetle in the other.

Huh.
