OT - Pics from our trip to the Smokies

We took our first trip up to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park this past weekend, and I got some shots that I liked. Sadly didn't see much in the way of wildlife, as I was hoping to get some good wildlife shots, but I think I got some decent ones anyways.

Any critiques on these shots? Whether shooting techniques or post-processing?

Also stopped at the GA Aquarium on the way back. Only got a couple good shots as it was crazy crowded. Was disappointed that they didn't do a better job at controlling the crowds, but it was beautiful nonetheless...

I'm also getting a black dot on all of my pictures that I'm having to band-aid off. From what I can tell I think its from the body of the camera (same spot using both lenses). Is this something that I could clean myself or should I contact Nikon?

Man, I miss home (East TN Mountains!). And Cades Cove. :)

Great shots!

Thanks! We really loved it up there as well. Even considering making a move up there.

Any suggestions on good places to live in that area??

Chattanooga TN is close enough and is a great city to live in! Plus you could hang with me and other reefers! :D

Great pics!

The Rev. is biased. :p

It depends on what you like.

If you like the suburbs, perhaps Halls or Faragut would be good. Sevierville itself is a pretty cool place to live (I wanted to when I worked there, anyway :) ). It is a little bit in the country, though.

I've personally lived in Grainger and Jefferson counties. Grainger county is a bit more secluded (I loved that part, though) and Jefferson a bit more modern. Both are close to Knoxville.

Morristown is one of the larger but still small cities in that area. Its also next to Jefferson county and may be worth looking into.

Just my $.02, tho!
