OT portable game systems

I know there are alott of game people one here anyone got the new 3ds? Thinking of getting one not sure if they are worth the hype or not

My son has one......He mostly leaves the 3d option turned off and I can say that it seems distracting, also you have to buy the 3d games. On the plus side all of his old games work with it also so it's not like they became obsolete. Best advice I can give you is to try one out in a store.

They generally sit in the drawer in my house. The iPad is what the kids play with.

If you want the power of a ps3 in your hands, the Playstation Vita will be the way to go! It's for a nasty line up of games too. Uncharted will be unreal.

Handhelds arn't that great for a three year old(sometimes not for a 10 year old),I just started teaching my 3yr old daughter how to play Batman on x-box if she breaks a $40 controller no big deal but to give her a $200 handheld...I'd rather buy a coral lol.

he has had a ds lite for about 3 months and loves it I am just thinking about getting him something newer

I just bought my 5 year old the 3ds, from what I have heard within the next year or so Nintendo is going to stop selling and making all the other versions of the DS. You can play all the old games on the 3ds, obviously just not in 3d. My son loves it. Just make sure you dont let them use the 3D untill they are older, it will mess up their eyes. The built in wifi and camera are pretty cool for the kids as well.

by the way there are parental controls so you can set it up so you need to put in a password to use the 3D.

thats cool i just picked up a new ipod touch i figure that and the ds lite and i have something to play with myself and so does he lol
