OT: Time to move, my car got shot up

Remember where reefnutz comes from Alex, everything here is a good market when your coming from inflation capitol of America ;)>cough!<>bay area<!!

Sad thing is alls its doing is bringing the inflation right along with them, till alas we will surely become SacJose:(

Good point, gentlemen. Everything is inflated in this state, and even more so in the Bay Area. Do I opt for what I had in San Jose, or a 10,000 sqf mansion in Tennessee for about half the price:(

The market is still pretty strong in the Bay Area, though. I'm seeing a lot of 'Just Reduced' signs in Sacramento County. So, there's going to be some good deals that Steve can jump on. Turning $600 rent into a $1000 mortgage isn't so bad.

I missed the boat, once I got out of the military and came here I should have bought a house, unfortunatelly I didnt, It would have been nice to buy for $100,000. and sell for 500.000 a few years later, that makes for a nice downpayment on your dream house. In my case just like Steve's (im sure) we are starting from scratch, make a good wage and yet keep running in to the same problems...Make too much money to be "assisted" and too little to buy straight up...There are people in welfare getting in to new homes thanks to grants, special loans ect. yet, I'm still renting.

those 400,000 condos that I looked in to, were originally sold for $100,000 a few years ago. so there are a lot of "guetto" families that got in for $100,000. now that they cost 400,000 doesn't change the fact that your neighboors do crack...and they have of "babydaddys" and "baby mammas" hanging outside leaning on broken cars drinking 40s while their 4yr old kids are running around in the middle of the street naked....

I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed :P

Better Location

I live in Citrus Heights over by Antelope & I 80. There are houses in this area that are in Quiet Neighborhoods.
On the subject of calling the Sheriff, Be aware that the City of Citrus Heights, has it's Own Police force starting in July 1st.. Currently the Sheriff dept for Sac County is the cities police force.
Also if you have problems with their feedback , Logon to the Citrus Heights Web page(www.citrusheights.net), And send email to the police chief.
If this does not work I can talk to several of the City Council members I know.

I know exactly where you are comeing from Alex on the houseing prices. I should have bought a house when I first started collage and rented some rooms out. I could of had a 4 bedroom with a pool for like 200k...Last year my dad was tiered of hearing me complain about rent and tried to talk me into buying a condo. Best I could find was like a 1bedroom 700sqft. in the range of 200-250K, uless I wanted to live in the ghetto...All I could do was laugh at my dad...with the morgage and comumity fees I would have been looking at like $1200 a month...I wasn't about to do that and be sitting there in two years with a 200k morgage and a condo that's only worth 130K after this market crashes..I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a repeat of what happened with the housing market in the 80's. We just have to wait long enough for all these intrest only, and adjustable rate morgages to go past their intro. period and for some of these people to find they are in over thier heads.

sounds good to me, kick of my shoes and wait till it crashes :) it is horribly frustrating, so it feels good to remove myself from the hunting circle for a while.
