OT: Uverse vs Charter (HD included)

Happy Thanksgiving Reefers.

I have an off topic question for those that have experience with Uverse. I'm going to jump into HD and I'm considering moving to Uverse. My Charter signal is just strong enough to service my home and I doubt Charter will be able to handle the bandwidth needed for quality HD.

I hope all my old reefer friends are doing well.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Hey Big Red:
We have had U-verse for 2 years and enjoy it immensely. Very little down time if any. Also have the fastest I-net connection they offer.
If it is within your budget, I strongly urge you to subscribe too. Just make sure you research what else is available and if something doesn't work, call them and complain. Their customer care service is great and usually will compensate for your inconvenience.
(and NO i don't work for them).... lol... I am a webmaster and web host.
Hope this helps.

We've had Uverse for 18 months or so. When we first got it, we had nothing but problems - they were replacing boxes every couple of months. Then, last Thanksgiving (yes - Thanksgiving Day), the guy came out and replaced EVERYTHING including having someone else come out and replace the telephone wire servicing our house (not sure how many blocks they replaced, but it was long). After that, everything has worked perfectly.
Originally, we were at the very edge of service and could only get 1 HD stream (standard was 2) so we could either watch or record in HD but not both (or 1 TV in HD but not 2). They've done something in the last couple of weeks because we now have 4 HD streams!
Customer service has been A-1 and overall service has been excellent as well.

how does U-verse stack up to Dish Net or Direct in HD programming. I checked on Charter for a while and it just did not have the HD lineup that the dish companies had.
