But I don't know where. My kids are only 4 and 5. If you know a good place please let me know. Thanks :)

We go to Yosemite. No real slide, but they have plenty of snow in the higher elevations. There's no snow in the valley, plenty of of other outdoor activities to do around the area and not many people.

the flat thingie you sit on and slide down :D.
Sorry don't know what that call so I just gave it a name :D

Well I assume you want to know where to go to use said flat thingie? Or do you want to know where to purchase?

Eitherway last time I went to South Lake Tahoe, way before I got there there was a little sign that said SNO PARK, and low and behold.. there was the snow park, it cost $5 to "park"/use the place per car. Went innertubing down the hill, made snow angels, the works, and yes you can use those plastic flat thingies too, just if you go up the hill any distance they won't last too long :)

I want to know where to go Mike :) ..
** Shoulda have some coffee before I post :D

Thanks Roy.. That looks like a fun place. How big is that place? It says 4000 sq foot but it looks pretty big. Is there a lot of people on the weekend?

I'm guessing that's the size of the main lodge.

They have a big hill (the website says 15 acres) that is dedicated to snow play. They rent equipment.

The bigger kids take the tubes to the top and slide down. If I rememder right, they have a system to haul the tubes while the people walk up.

The 2 times we were there was on a weekend. The hill was big enough for everyone.

If you want to drive that direction, I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are nearby the Dodge Ridge Ski Resort.

Best of luck,

Roy

Soda Springs is GREAT for little kids.

I argee. Soda Springs is a very good choice for little kids especially first timer, plus easy access compare to many other places. IMO, Kingvale charge $20 for tubing which is a bit high, and they do not allow you to sled w/ your gears in their area.

Yeah the place I was talking about I believe is a state owned "Sno Park" hence why it costs $5 a day per car (not a per person rate), also it's not a groomed park like the other places, there's a nice little hill for you to do that stuff, but no defined "runs" it still was good fun pain sliding really fast hitting a make shift ramp getting air then slamming back down on the inner tube to bounce out and hit the not so soft snow :)

As to the crowds, I couldn't tell you because I went at the end of the snow season last year.. sometime in April IIRC.
